Siderforgerossi Spa, born from the merger of two historical realities from Vicenza – Siderforge Spa and Forgerossi Spa – is a company specialized in the production of high-performance steel components, intended for gas pipelines, the oil sector, wind power sector and earth-moving machinery. Today it counts 1100 employees, 6 Italian factories and one in Bangalore in India.
With an annual output of 120,000 tons and thousands of orders to handle, it has become decisive for the purchasing department, to implement a computerized system to manage in a controlled and traceable way, purchase requests and requests for quotations (RFQ).
The need was to compare the offers and schedule the various interactions with suppliers.
The choice fell on the Globe document management software, which was already in use in the company for other flows and business departments. Among the various achievements, the central ones are the savings in time and resources used in the operational management of these requests.
